Woods System of Care and Acenda Integrated Health Announce Plan to Affiliate  

 

The partnership will increase access to services for people with behavioral health needs,  intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and brain injury, who may also have complex medical and genetic conditions.  

LANGHORNE, PA (July 18, 2024) –For more than a century, Woods has led the charge to provide comprehensive, innovative, and evidence-based care and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, brain injury, and behavioral health challenges who may also have complex medical and genetic conditions. Woods has partnered with multiple affiliates and related organizations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey to develop a comprehensive network that embraces an integrated care model with the goal of providing seamless care from early childhood through the end of life.   

To further strengthen this mission, Woods is pleased to announce that it has embarked on a new affiliation with Acenda Integrated Health, a leading provider of mental health and crisis services in New Jersey. 

 

Acenda is an integrated healthcare organization that offers more than 100 innovative programs to support children, adults, families, caregivers, and the community. Its mission is to provide world-class prevention, treatment, and wellness services, compassionately delivered to ensure that every individual achieves their greatest potential. The affiliation has been approved by both organizations’ Boards and must be approved by New Jersey regulatory agencies.  

 

With this new partnership, Acenda and Woods will further expand an integrated system of care to include 7,200 employees who serve more than 52,000 people throughout the State of New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. The individuals served will have access to prevention and early intervention, education, primary and behavioral healthcare, recovery services, employment services, parenting support, residential programming, and more. Acenda’s focus on public health and innovation will further expand Woods’ ability to bring person-centered life cycle care solutions to New Jersey.

In the integrated care model, healthcare and other service providers work together seamlessly to eliminate gaps in care. Close to 7,000 employees who are dedicated to this integrated care model will be working to ensure that no one falls through the cracks or is left out of vital services.

The organizations anticipate receiving regulatory approval within the next several months and will quickly formalize the affiliation afterward.
